South Carolina Women’s Basketball: 2027 Recruits to Watch

The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball are already laying the groundwork for another elite recruiting class in 2027, with head coach Dawn Staley targeting some of the nation’s top young prospects.

One of the biggest names to know is Caroline Bradley, a 6-foot-5 post player widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the class. Ranked as high as No. 3 nationally, Bradley has drawn heavy interest from South Carolina and included the Gamecocks among her top schools. Her size, interior dominance, and defensive presence make her a perfect fit for Staley’s system, which has consistently developed elite frontcourt talent.

Another early name on South Carolina’s radar is Kie’Aundria “KJ” Acree, a versatile wing who was among the program’s first 2027 offers. Known for her athleticism and scoring ability, Acree represents the type of dynamic perimeter player the Gamecocks covet.

Nationally, the 2027 class is loaded with talent, including players like Kaleena Smith, the No. 1-ranked guard, and Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka, a highly regarded wing. While South Carolina’s level of involvement with each elite prospect is still developing, Staley and her staff are expected to be major players across the board.

It’s still early in the recruiting cycle, but South Carolina’s track record—highlighted by recent elite classes and five-star additions—positions the program to once again compete for the nation’s top talent. As offers expand and visits ramp up, the 2027 class could become another cornerstone for the Gamecocks’ championship future.
