NFL Draft Tracker, Day 3 Update: Gators Have 7 Players Selected

The Florida Gators wrapped up a strong showing in the 2026 NFL Draft, finishing with seven total players selected across all seven rounds—an achievement that marks a first in program history.

Day 3 (Rounds 4–7) played a major role in boosting that total, with four Gators hearing their names called. Defensive back Devin Moore went in the fourth round to the Dallas Cowboys, showcasing his playmaking ability in the secondary. Edge rusher George Gumbs Jr. followed in the fifth round, landing with the Indianapolis Colts after a productive college career.

Special teams also became a highlight for Florida on the final day. Kicker Trey Smack was selected in the sixth round by the Green Bay Packers, while punter Tommy Doman closed things out in the seventh round with the Buffalo Bills.

Earlier in the draft, Florida had already built momentum with key selections, including a first-round pick and multiple offensive linemen taken on Day 2.

Overall, the Gators’ 2026 draft class reflects balance across positions—from the trenches to special teams—and underscores the program’s continued pipeline to the NFL. With representation in every round, Florida not only matched its best outputs in recent years but also set a new benchmark for consistency on draft weekend.
