Bo Svensson, the coach of Union Berl, has stated that he does not see any justification for selling Robin Gosens, who is wanted by Crystal Palace, this summer.
As we approach the last week of the transfer window, questions are being raised about the 30-year-old left-back’s future at Union Berlin.
Premier League teams are showing interest in him, and Crystal Palace is investigating the possibility of bringing him to Selhurst Park before the transfer deadline on Friday.
Union Berlin does not want to lose him, but if they hear offers this summer for around €10 million, there are rumors that they could be willing to let him leave
After a successful preseason with the team, Svensson maintains that he is healthy and ready for a strong campaign, assuming that Gosens won’t be moved.
He made it clear that he had spoken with the player and that, at this point in the window, he did not see any justification for selling him.
When asked if Gosens would be sticking around, Svensson said to German outlet Sky Deutschland, “I assume so.”
“He had an excellent preseason and has a long contract.”
“We had some really interesting talks.
In my opinion as a coach, he is a crucial member of our team.
“I don’t see why we should let him go.”
Whether Crystal Palace actually moves to sign Gosens in the upcoming days is still to be seen.
