Ole Miss Football Looking to Gain Momentum for Prized Florida Gators WR Target

The Ole Miss Rebels are intensifying their push on the recruiting trail as they look to flip momentum in the race for a highly coveted wide receiver target also pursued by the Florida Gators. At the center of the battle is fast-rising Florida prospect Elias Pearl, one of the most talked-about receivers in the 2027 class.

Pearl, a four-star standout from Port Charlotte, has seen his stock surge after an impressive offseason, including a dominant showing at Rivals Camp Miami where he showcased elite route-running and reliable hands. He is now ranked among the top wide receivers nationally, drawing heavy interest from multiple SEC programs.

Ole Miss recently hosted Pearl for a multi-day visit in Oxford, signaling how serious the program is about landing him. The Rebels brought in several top prospects during the same stretch, aiming to build strong relationships and create momentum in a competitive recruitment.

The challenge, however, is steep. The Florida Gators are considered a major contender and have built strong traction with in-state receivers, often holding an edge with local recruits.

Still, Ole Miss is not backing down. With continued visits, strong evaluations, and a clear emphasis on player development, the Rebels are positioning themselves as a legitimate threat to pull off a key recruiting win. As Pearl’s recruitment heats up, Ole Miss will look to turn recent momentum into a decisive breakthrough.
