After the 2026 NFL Draft wrapped up, several Florida Gators who weren’t selected quickly found opportunities across the league as undrafted free agents—continuing the program’s steady pipeline to the NFL.
Edge rusher Tyreak Sapp headlined the group, landing with the Cleveland Browns. With Cleveland not drafting an edge player, Sapp enters a situation where he could realistically compete for early snaps if he impresses during camp.
Wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant also secured a deal, signing with the Green Bay Packers. Known for his athleticism and size, he joins a team that has a strong track record of developing undrafted talent at the receiver position.
Special teams standout Rocco Underwood, a long snapper, was another Florida player to latch onto an NFL opportunity shortly after the draft, adding to the list of Gators continuing their careers at the professional level.
Overall, while Florida had multiple players selected during the draft, the undrafted group still found landing spots that offer legitimate chances to make rosters. As always, undrafted free agency remains a critical pathway—one where strong preseason performances can turn overlooked prospects into key contributors.
