The Florida Gators football are coming off a productive 2026 NFL Draft cycle, sending multiple players to the league and continuing their long-standing pipeline to the pros.   Looking ahead to the 2027 NFL Draft, the spotlight shifts to a younger wave of talent—players who are still developing but already flashing traits that scouts covet.

Rising Gators with 2027 NFL Draft potential

Vernell Brown III (WR)

A dynamic receiver with speed and route-running upside, Brown is one of the most exciting young playmakers on Florida’s roster. Still early in his college career, his ability to separate and produce after the catch could quickly elevate him into a legit draft prospect if his production jumps.

Jadan Baugh (RB)

Baugh brings a blend of size and explosiveness that fits the modern NFL back. If he can handle a larger workload and show consistency between the tackles, he has the tools to climb draft boards over the next two seasons.

Jayden Woods (EDGE)

Edge rushers are always in demand, and Woods has the physical profile (length, burst) that scouts look for. With refinement in pass-rush technique, he could follow the path of recent Florida defensive linemen who turned upside into draft selections.

Cormani McClain (CB)

A highly touted defensive back, McClain’s coverage ability and athleticism give him a high ceiling. If he develops discipline and consistency, he has the potential to be one of the more talked-about defensive prospects in the SEC.

Bryce Thornton (S)

Thornton is a more experienced presence in the secondary. His physicality and instincts could make him a steady riser, especially if he becomes a leader on Florida’s defense.

The big picture

Florida’s 2026 draft class was built around experienced, “pro-ready” players like Caleb Banks and Devin Moore.   The 2027 group, by contrast, is defined more by upside and projection than polish. That means their draft stock will depend heavily on development, coaching, and production over the next two seasons.

If even a few of these young Gators take major steps forward, Florida could once again have a strong presence when the 2027 NFL Draft rolls around.
