Two days after the announcement regarding his departure from Zug, the SHL team confirmed his arrival in Leksand.
Peter Cehlárik has signed a contract with Leksands IF valid until the end of the 2025-26 season. Sportsbladet had already reported on Monday that they had agreed on a three-year deal.
In 38 games for EV Zug this season, Cehlárik has recorded six goals and 18 assists.
The two forwards are facing disciplinary sanctions due to cross-checking and respectively boarding.
Jan Kovář will surely not travel to Porrentruy tonight to suit up against HC Ajoie. He was sanctioned with a major and game misconduct penalty yesterday evening for cross-checking HC Lugano’s Mirco Müller. While the single judge investigates the matter, Kovář is provisionally suspended for one game.
Similarly, Yannick-Lennart Albrecht will not travel to Fribourg today. The forward of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers is provisionally suspended for one game for boarding HC Ambrì-Piotta Isacco Dotti. On the occasion, the officials had inflicted a minor penalty on the Laker.
