Hoffenheim will not be receiving Armel Bella-Kotchap from Southampton since the deal is “100% off and collapsed.”
Recently, Saints and Hoffenheim agreed on a price to sell the center back, ending his tenure at St. Mary’s.
Bella-Kotchap had injury concerns, so Hoffenheim wanted to make sure he had a thorough medical examination.
It has been reported that Hoffenheim discovered a cardiac condition that necessitated further discussions between the two teams and the player.
The move is now “100% off and collapsed,” according to German station Sky Deutschland, because those talks have not produced an agreement.
Bella-Kotchap is no longer going to play for Hoffenheim.
The defender’s future is still unknown, and it is anticipated that he will report back to Southampton.
Bella-Kotchap played on loan at PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands during the previous season, and this summer, he has been connected to a number of other teams.
In recent days, Saints manager Russell Martin acknowledged that the team is aware of Bella-Kotchap’s cardiac condition and emphasized that it has not presented him with any issues.
