Following a late flashpoint, Sheffield United is charged by the FA over the violence in Wrexham.
An FA charge has been brought against Sheffield United and Wrexham following a mini-melee in the final moments of last week’s League Cup match at Bramall Lane. The incident happened shortly after the Blades’ 4-2 victory, with Sebastian Revan scoring a consolation goal for the visitors in stoppage time.
Young Sydie Peck of United, who was named player of the match against the League One team, got into a fight in the United goal with Jack Marriott of Wrexham as the former Wednesday player went to get the ball. Prior to being separated, players from both teams interacted, with Peck and Marriott receiving yellow cards.
