As Nicolas Madsen’s transfer approaches, QPR midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner is attracting interest from other clubs on loan, according to West London Sport.
Before the transfer window closes in one week, QPR is still trying to make moves in the market.
The last seven days of the window are now upon us; it ends at 11 p.m. on August 30. It implies that teams have little time to finalize their incoming and exiting rosters.
With a new midfield addition on the horizon, it appears that there will be both arrivals and departures at Loftus Road.Nicolas Madsen, a Danish midfielder, is reportedly close to joining the R’s from KVC Westerlo for €3.75 million (about £3.1 million), with add-ons and a sell-on clause.
According to recent sources, that might result in a break from QPR.
According to West London Sport, if the Madsen deal goes through, midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner might be approved for a late loan move. Already, he’s attracting attention from other places.
The 23-year-old is being watched by a number of lower league teams, although it is unclear who exactly is interested in him or whether a transaction will ever happen.
Despite agreeing to a new contract this summer, Dixon-Bonner has not yet appeared in a Championship game this year. His one game was against Cambridge United in the Carabao Cup.
Dixon-Bonner has already demonstrated in the Championship that he can be counted on.
Last season, he made 26 appearances for QPR in all competitions, which is the most he has managed at a senior level since leaving Liverpool and relocating to West London.
In his 24 Championship games, Dixon-Bonner started nine of them. He mostly played in midfield but could also play wide when needed. During the season’s penultimate day victory over Coventry City, he recorded one assist.
Despite his potential as an asset, the former Arsenal prospect will now be lower on the priority list due to Madsen’s upcoming move. Furthermore, Dixon-Bonner should now be playing every week at the age of 23.
Madsen is a Danish midfielder that QPR supporters should be looking forward to watching.
Although his primary position is attacking midfield, he can fill deeper duties when needed. He scored 14 goals at a strong level for KVC Westerlo in 35 games last season in Belgium, demonstrating his ability to score goals from deep.
