QPR’s best starting lineup following the summer transfer window with Saito benched
With many marquee additions, QPR had a busy summer transfer window and appear to be a much better team as a result.
After battling relegation the previous season, QPR is hoping for a better year in West London under new manager Marti Cifuentes, who is leading the team for the first time.
Their many recent signings will be essential to their success in that endeavor. With ten new faces in the door, deals for players like Jonathan Varane, Nicolas Madsen, and Karamoko Dembele are among the most striking.
The international break would have allowed the newcomers more time to acclimate and get familiar with Cifuentes’ system. Those who were injured will also have had time to heal.
But which starting lineup of Cifuentes’ QPR is the stronger following the summer transfer window? Here, we have a peek.
Although there have been some new players in the back, Cifuentes’ preferred quartet in the backfield still consists of Jimmy Dunne, Steve Cook, Jake Clarke-Salter, and Paal. But QPR saw a lot of changes farther up the field.
It will be anticipated that Varane takes over a starting position once he gets up to speed. When he plays well, Sam Field is a true standout at this level. He could form a fantastic midfield partnership with Varane because of his ability to cover the backline.
Dembele appears to be a rising star despite the fierce competition on the wings.
