Rangers set Robby McCrorie price as goalkeeper eyes exit amid Aberdeen interest

Aberdeen is showing interest in Robby McCrorie, thus Rangers are expected to seek a minimum of £500,000 plus additional payments for his transfer during this window.

The goalkeeper has turned down a contract extension and is eager to move on for more first-team action, Record Sport disclosed on Tuesday.

Entering his final year of contract, McCrorie has drawn interest from English Championship sides as well as the Dons. He is adamant that he wants consistent playing time.

The Glasgow team is going to try to

increase their earnings during this window at all costs, or else McCrorie may sign a pre-contract in January.

According to the Daily Record, the 26-year-old asked for a transfer back in January in an effort to earn a berth in Scotland’s Euro 2024 squad.

Philippe Clement, however, blocked the move, citing the necessity of McCrorie as Jack Butland’s backup, particularly during Rangers’ quest for success in all competitions.

Managing Butland and McCrorie, two excellent goalkeepers, presents Clement with a challenge. He admits that it’s difficult to maintain both content but also that Butland has garnered interest since his comeback at Ibrox.
