Rangers lead festive fixture shake up as Celtic clash pencilled in by TV schedulers after Edinburgh derby blockbuster

The updated schedule, which included a change to the holiday fixture list, was confirmed by the SPFL.

October will see a number of changes for both Celtic and Rangers. On October 20, the Light Blues’ trip to Kilmarnock will now kick off at 12 noon, thanks to a move by Sky Sports. On October 27, the Hoops will play their first Edinburgh derby of the season at Easter Road, with a new kickoff time of 12 noon against Motherwell. The match between Aberdeen and Dundee United at Pittodrie on Saturday, October 26 will also be televised by Premier Sports. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.

The holiday schedule has also been made public, and two of the TV picks feature Philippe Clement’s team. Dundee United vs. Aberdeen on Sunday, December 29 at 5.15 p.m., and St. Mirren vs. Rangers on Boxing Day at 5.45 p.m. are both scheduled to air on Premier Sports. The same day, Motherwell vs. Rangers will take off at 3 p.m. on Sky Sports.
