Rangers join Chelsea and Leverkusen in striking deal with data experts

Rangers have renewed their relationship with data and analytics experts Kitman Labs – joining the likes of Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen.

The company’s technology is also used by Liverpool, Fulham and Ipswich Town – and has recently been launched across all Premier League Academies.

As part of an expanded relationship, it will allow Rangers to combine medical, performance, coaching and talent development data into a single ‘Intelligence Platform’ across the entire club, from the Men’s and Women’s First Teams to the Academy sides.

Stephen Smith, CEO and Founder of Kitman Labs, said: “We are extremely proud of our partnership with Rangers F.C., one of the most successful and historic clubs in global football.

“The Club has been at the cutting edge of utilising data and data science to advance player health and performance outcomes for a number of years.

“This expanded partnership will help support the Club in their efforts to raise and develop the next generation of talent through their exceptional academy structures on both the men’s and women’s side.”

The ‘Kitman Labs Coaching & Development Solution’ platform is designed to optimise player pathways, spot talent earlier in the development cycle, and ensure more informed succession planning.

It also aims to help the club accelerate their talent development process and better prepare players for the rigours of the first team.
