In 2017, he decided to end his playing career. In November 2022, he moved to the United States to become a coach. Novo was the Lexington Sporting Club’s assistant manager.
That position didn’t last very long, and he is currently coaching again, this time in Scotland.
Drumchapel United of the West of Scotland Football League has announced that Novo has joined as a coach for the forthcoming season.
After winning the WoSFL First Division the previous season, the Glasgow-based squad will now compete in the upper echelons of the erstwhile junior divisions, where players like Auchinleck Talbot, Darvel, Clydebank, and Beith will be present.

“Drumchapel United is happy to announce that Nacho Novo, a former striker for @RangersFC, will be joining the team as a coach for the 24/25 season.

The fight is scheduled to happen in early August at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.
