Rangers board make Philippe Clement sack decision after new talks at Ibrox
Chris Jack says that even though John Bennett quit, the Rangers board is still “fully committed” to Philippe Clement.
The reporter said in the Rangers Review on September 16 that the Belgian will stay in charge even though his team has already been eliminated from the Champions League and lost badly to Manchester United in the Old Firm.
It was said that acting chairman John Gilligan met with the boss at Ibrox on September 15 after they beat Dundee United 1-0.
Rangers decide to fire Philippe Clement.

While it was already pretty clear that Clement would stay as Rangers manager after his contract was extended, it is now almost certain.
In the last few weeks, there has been some speculation about the manager’s future because of the team’s bad performance in the Scottish Premiership, which has put them in third place.
Not all of the Gers’ new players have been fully integrated into the team, even though some of them haven’t played their best.
Perhaps this, along with the fact that Rangers weren’t even playing their home games at Ibrox, played a part.
