Paul Merson left stunned after hearing Everton could sign ‘unbelievable’ player before the transfer deadline

It looks like Everton will make a very good addition before next week’s transfer deadline.

Over the course of the summer, some well-known players have also left the club, giving Sean Dyche’s squad even more strength.

Back in June, the Toffees faced the dreaded PSR deadline, which resulted in the sale of players like Ben Godfrey to Atlanta.

Since then, Everton has sold Amadou Onana to Aston Villa for £50 million, which will have had no negative impact on the spreadsheets.

However, despite Dyche’s insistence on not giving out more than one debut during the weekend’s loss to Brighton & Hove Albion, there have also been additions to Everton.

Additionally, it appears that Paul Mer is rather thrilled about the possibility of another newcomer on his way to Goodison Park.

Paul Mon is amazed by the potential signings for Everton.

Everton has been begging for additional attacking alternatives this summer after their season-long struggles in front of goal.

However, with a defensive position injury issue, Everton also require a new right-back before the deadline.

Kieran Trippier of Newcastle United is one player in particular that Everton is now showing interest in; he may be permitted to depart Tyneside before the end of the current week’s play.

Speaking on Sky Sports on Saturday afternoon [12:12 pm], Merson said that if Everton could get Trippier, he would be really impressed.

“This is a fantastic addition for Everton. If Kieran Trippier joins Everton, it will be a magnificent signing, he declared.

He represents England as an international player, and I adore him. He’s a very, very talented football player in my opinion. You know, he can play both sides and his set plays. Everton will not be able to play teams for pleasure every week, so they will have to make do with leftovers.

“Having someone with his level of skill at placing the ball on a sixpence can only be beneficial, and Everton excels at set pieces. He’s a wise addition.

Everton is in a dire situation at right back.

Ashley Young’s red card during the match against Brighton is the last thing Dyche wanted, and his problems at right-back have now reached a new low.

For Saturday’s away match against Tottenham Hotspur, Everton will be without a senior right-back option, and Heung-min Son is undoubtedly salivating at the thought.

If Dyche does not make a wise substitution at the back, Roman Dixon might get his first start.

However, with Nathan Patterson and Seamus Coleman sidelined, the Blues could certainly use another signing before the market closes next week.
