Pastrnak expresses his desire for Draisaitl to join the Bruins.

Forward David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins says he would love to have forward Leon Draisaitl of the Edmonton Oilers join him in Boston.

David Pastrnak did not spare any time in expressing his desire for Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl to sign with the Boston Bruins, even if Paul Bissonnette quipped that it teetered on the verge of tampering. In response to a question about how player recruitment in Boston was going, the hosts of the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast mentioned a few names. Tyler Bertuzzi and other others were in the mix, but Pastrnak exclaimed, “I would love Draisaitl!” as they arrived at Draisailt.

It’s another matter entirely whether or not players can genuinely be investigated for tampering, but it’s evident that Pastrnak finds playing next to Edmonton’s top striker appealing. This is important since Draisaitl is a future unrestricted free agent who will become available at the end of the following season, and the Bruins have previously been connected to him. There are rumours in the rumour mill that Draisaitl is considering the San Jose Sharks or other teams, even though the Oilers are in the playoffs and playing the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final.
