Emirates and Collingwood Football Club have announced the renewal of their longstanding partnership, extending it for another five years. This renewal ensures Emirates will continue as the Premier Partner of the Collingwood Football Club through to 2029, marking a 30-year collaboration between the two iconic brands.
The extension of this partnership underscores both Emirates and Collingwood’s dedication to fostering community connections through the power of sports. With this renewed commitment, both parties aim to further strengthen their impact and engagement with fans and communities, continuing a shared legacy of excellence and support.
The collaboration, which has spanned over 25 years, is a testament to the deep-rooted relationship between the airline and the football club, one that will continue to thrive in the years ahead.
Barry Brown, Emirates’ Divisional Vice President for Australasia said, “Our partnership with the Collingwood Football Club extends almost as long as our presence in Australia and reflects our steadfast commitment to Melbourne, a city which shares our enthusiasm and passion for sports.
“Emirates and the Collingwood Football Club are both recognised for their excellence, creating a powerful synergy that extends across the sports and aviation industries, with the Magpies’ long history of wins and remarkable successes aligning perfectly well with Emirates’ myriad of accolades.

“We’re proud of this partnership and are excited for what the next chapter will bring.”
Craig Kelly, Collingwood Football Club CEO said, “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with our Premier Partner Emirates for a further five years.
“Since partnering in 1999, the unity between Collingwood and Emirates has grown from strength-to-strength and has developed into one of the strongest partnerships in Australian sport.
“30 years of partnership is a huge achievement and one we’re extremely proud of. We thank the entire Emirates family for their commitment and support, and we look forward to what the future has in store for this partnership over the next five years.”
Emirates will retain its prominent presence on the Collingwood Football Club guernseys and shorts, further solidifying its role as the club’s Premier Partner. As part of this extended partnership, Collingwood Members will continue to enjoy exclusive year-round discounts on Economy and Business Class fares to over 140 destinations across Emirates’ global network.
This partnership is just one facet of Emirates’ expansive sponsorship portfolio, which spans multiple high-profile global sporting events. The airline is a major sponsor of the ICC Cricket World Cup, Rugby World Cup, and the Dubai World Cup in horseracing. It also partners with top football clubs, including Real Madrid CF, Arsenal F.C., AC Milan, Olympique Lyonnais, and S.L. Benfica. Additionally, Emirates sponsors all four tennis Grand Slam tournaments: the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, US Open, and The Championships, Wimbledon. Recently, Emirates renewed its long-standing relationship with Tennis Australia, remaining the Official Airline of the Australian Open until 2029.
Emirates has been a key player in Australia’s aviation sector for more than 28 years, transporting over 40 million passengers to and from the country via its Dubai hub. The airline operates 77 weekly services from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide, connecting travelers to more than 140 destinations worldwide. With a capacity to transport up to 68,000 passengers per week, Emirates is a vital link between Australia and the world.
In a significant move, Emirates recently reinstated its second daily service to Perth on 1 December, returning to pre-pandemic capacity. Additionally, the airline will introduce a third non-stop service between Dubai and Melbourne, beginning on 30 March 2025.
