New Millwall striker faces eight weeks of treatment for broken metatarsal

Because of a broken metatarsal, NEIL Harris has announced that Millwall supporters would have to wait eight weeks to see Mihailo Ivanovic in action.

Last night, the Serbian striker, who is thought to have paid a club record amount, completed his late deadline day switch to The Den.

However, he now faces a two-month layoff, which is unacceptable given Tom Bradshaw’s previous long-term injury, the management acknowledges.

“Mihailo is a young player,” Harris stated. He was called up to the Serbian national team.

“It’s important for everyone to know that he will be sidelined for eight weeks due to an injury, which is obviously difficult for us.

However, we are aware of this and must cope with it, which is why we value Josh and Macaulay Langstaff since Tom Bradshaw will be absent for ten weeks.

“Mihailo is a young player who matches the club’s goal of signing youngsters to grow into star players who they can then sell.

I’m thrilled to have Josh here. Mihailo is a longer-term project, but we are excited to work with him.
