Milwall set to lose ‘vital’ talisman for Sheffield Wednesday and Luton Town clashes amid injury crisis

Tuesday night’s match against Leyton Orient resulted in a loss and injuries for Millwall.

In Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup loss to Leyton Orient, Tom Bradshaw suffered a significant injury that has left Millwall fairly shorthanded in terms of offensive alternatives.

The Lions put on a pitiful display and lost 1-0 at The Den. Their problems only got worse after full time when head coach Neil Harris announced that Bradshaw would miss a significant amount of time due to injury. The 32-year-old replaced Joe Bryan in the 64th minute, however he was forced to leave the game early due to a hamstring injury.

It’s his hamstring, Harris stated in a post-game interview. It’s going to be awful. You don’t come off as he did and receive an overnight treatment, but he will need to be scanned.

He abruptly stopped and felt his hamstring give out.

Harris’s comments allude to a protracted absence that might keep Bradshaw out of several Championship games. This weekend, Millwall takes on Sheffield Wednesday at The Den. Following the international break, Millwall will welcome Luton Town.

Harris didn’t seem optimistic that Bradshaw would play in the club’s upcoming games, but fans will be hoping for a quick recovery because the squad is already short on forward options. After Kevin Nisbet was loaned to Aberdeen last weekend, Macaulay Langstaff, a recent addition, is the sole striker available for the match against the Owls this weekend.
