Winger competition

Millwall will supposedly face fresh competition in their bid to land Reading talent Femi Azeez. According to Darren Witcoop, Plymouth Argyle have now joined the race for the 23-year-old winger.

Millwall have been linked with an interest over the last couple of weeks, with Stoke City also said to be interested. Reading are already said to have refused bids for Azeez, with the race now said to be between three clubs and possible even more.

Cifuentes issues move wish

QPR boss Marti Cifuentes says he is still hoping to add to his squad despite having already snapped up as many as 10 new players this summer. He told West London Sport: “I hope so, but we know about the challenges we have got financially and how difficult the market is at this time, but the club have been working well and these new two additions show we are getting in the kind of players we needed.

“Now it is time to see if they can perform to the level we want them to, but hopefully we can get something else.”
