SKY SPORT: Mat Sadler full of praise as Walsall hit Swindon for four
At the County Ground, Mat Sadler thought Walsall ran Swindon Town “into the ground” en route to a 4-0 victory.
Josh Gordon ended his 13-match goal drought in the 33rd minute after taking advantage of Grant Hall’s mistake to open the scoring.
Seven minutes later, Jamille Matt increased Walsall’s lead. Four minutes after the restart, Taylor Allen’s incredible free-kick ended the match as a battle.

With his first goal for the team, Albert Adomah completed the rout and sent Walsall into first place after two games, capping his bench stint.
“It was an outstanding team effort, in my opinion. We have to work together. When you leave your house in front of about 8,000 supporters, you know you have to attempt to calm them down, and I believe we succeeded right from the start,” Sadler remarked.
“We subdued any energy they might have had, and I felt the first fifteen minutes of the game really established the tempo.” We could have scored on a few of our opportunities. We wanted to do that, and you have to do that when you leave, so that’s why it was satisfying.
However, it was merely a well-executed collective effort, which must form the foundation of our identity and actions. It truly pleases me to see that we defeated the opposition by running them into the ground at the end and looking really strong physically.”
