Manager admits ‘big money’ would prompt sale of striker linked with Celtic, bid status

The Canadian international, who is now at the Copa America event alongside Bhoys defender Alistair Johnston, is being watched by a number of teams, including Celtic, according to a report from The Athletic earlier this month.

In his first season with the Steelmen, Bair was extremely successful, leading the Scottish Premiership with 15 goals and dishing out six assists.

Understandably, this has made him a target for numerous teams looking to enhance their rosters at a discount.

Kettlewell claims that although Motherwell has received bids for the player, Celtic has not yet made any.

There has been a lot of tangible interest in Theo, the manager told the Daily Record. Clubs from two of the top five leagues in Europe have made a few serious bids. They haven’t come from Scotland; I won’t name the teams or nations.

“Theo and Canada are at the Copa America.” However, he still has one more year left on his Motherwell contract. Until someone puts something in front of us that we can’t refuse, he is very much ours.
