Maik Nawrocki rejects Celtic loan departure but leaves exit door ajar

The Polish team, who Celtic bought the defender from last summer, contacted him about a possible loan.

However, despite the offer, Nawrocki is currently inclined to stay at Celtic.

The player’s decision comes as he attempts to compete for more minutes under Brendan Rodgers. However, if he isn’t allowed time in pre-season, he then may look at a Legia Warsaw comeback then, claims Polish journalist Sebastian Staszewski.

Maik Nawrocki and Brendan Rodgers

Nawrocki’s debut season with Celtic has been hard, defined by restricted game time and struggles with injuries. With Liam Scales preferred in the starting lineup, Nawrocki’s opportunities have been few.

However, the defender is focused on the next preseason, seeing it as a key chance to impress Rodgers and carve out a more important place in the team.

There does seem to be a player in Nawrocki, maybe, he can show it to Brendan Rodgers and turn into a successful singing for the Hoops.
