Leeds United could sign Manor Solomon from Tottenham as a potential replacement for Patrick Bamford.

The Daily Mail claims that Leeds United still intends to acquire a new striker before the transfer window closes.

On August 24, the tabloid said on their website that the Whites were still aiming to sign two more players after the Israel game, with Tottenham’s Manor Solomon going through a physical before moving on loan to Elland Road.

Daniel Farke is planning to bring in a forward and a full-back before the deadline, having lost a number of well-known players this summer.

Following the departures of Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville, The Athletic reported on August 16 that two attacking newcomers, a full-back, and another midfielder were desired.

Is Daniel Farke slated to replace Patrick Bamford?

The arrival of Solomon from Almeria, following Largie Ramazani, was supposed to cover the voids left by Summerville and Rutter.

Mateo Joseph made his debut in the 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday [Sky Sports, August 23] with a strong showing that hinted at his potential as a regular starter this season.

However, since Rutter left, the central forward positions are a mess; Joel Piroe and Patrick Bamford are both fantastic when they play well, but they are far worse when they don’t.

It was anticipated that one of the two senior forwards would be sold this summer [Daily Mail, July 1], but Bamford is unlikely to depart before the deadline, and it is evident that no credible bids have been made for Piroe.

It appears that Leeds United will acquire Manor Solomon from Tottenham.

The Englishman’s most recent injury forced him to miss the trip to Hillsborough, jeopardizing his longer-term place in the matchday squad.

Jusef Erabi, a striker for Hammarby, has been discussed [Marc Mechenoua, August 19]. He may be a contender to fit the top market criteria, but it appears difficult to recruit another without one incumbent leaving.

Regarding midfielders, it seems that Dejan Ljubicic of FC Koln won’t be joining to take Glen Kamara’s spot amid controversy in Germany after the deal fell through [BILD, 24 August], and another full-back hasn’t shown up yet either.

In other Leeds United news, before the transfer deadline, a top-tier European team is currently trying to sign another senior Elland Road star.
