According to bookmakers, Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland is the most likely candidate to succeed Celtic lucky guy Kogo Furuhashi in the event that the Japanese player leaves the team.
The news that Kyogo is one of the two players on Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s shortlist for the number two striker position at the Premier League champions shocked Scottish football yesterday.
The 29-year-old would only be allowed to leave the Parkhead club for about £20 million, but wealthy City won’t be deterred by that amount.
