Omar Marmoush, a forward for Eintracht Frankfurt, is of interest to Nottingham Forest.
According to reports, Nottingham Forest will have a hectic deadline day as they try to finalise a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush.
The highly regarded Egyptian international scored an amazing 17 goals in all competitions last season and also added six assists.
Although Marmoush, 25, is mostly a striker, he can fill in as a winger on either side when needed.
Numerous clubs have expressed interest in him because to his quickness, adaptability, and agility. Marmoush was linked to Tottenham earlier in the summer, but they chose not to make an offer for him.
Nottingham Forest is currently working hard to finalise a deal for Marmoush; however, two bids have already been turned down, according to Bundesliga transfer writer Florian Plettenberg.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team, according to Plettenberg, has now made a third approach, reportedly worth between €20 and €25 million (£16.8 and £21 million), but it is less than Frankfurt’s asking price.
The German team will only consider offers in the €30 million (£25.2 million) bracket since they would prefer to keep Marmoush, who was their top scorer the previous campaign.
Marmoush was signed by Frankfurt last summer on a free transfer, and it has turned out to be an excellent commercial decision.
Rival Frankfurt for Roma star is Nott’m Forest
If Forest raises their offer, Marmoush might become their tenth summer acquisition, though it’s still unclear if they will.
Despite their loss to Newcastle on penalties on Wednesday night, Nuno acknowledged that he is still eager to strengthen other parts of his team.
The Forest manager remarked, “It’s not easy but we as a club are working to bring in some players. It’s all about the profile of the player.”
“It’s important to take our time and avoid mistakes.”
Roma centre mid Edoardo Bove has surfaced as a target in recent days as Forest looks to bolster their midfield.
The 22-year-old has also been linked to Everton, but they have chosen to pursue Orel Mangala, a former Tricky Trees star, instead.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Frankfurt has, nevertheless, undertaken a last-ditch effort to sabotage Forest’s pursuit of Bove.
He said that although Forest is no longer “ahead” of the German team in the race for Bove, the Premier League team is still in the running.
While Forest is seeking a permanent deal, Frankfurt wants to sign Bove on loan and add a buyout option in the contract.
In the meantime, Forest is searching for a new custodian and, according to the Daily Mail, they are thinking of making an unexpected bid for Neto of Bournemouth.
