Several important players were sidelined for Derby County’s loss against Watford.
Although Ebou Adams’ early goal proved to be unable to secure any points at Vicarage Road, the Rams were hoping to build on their surprising victory over Middlesbrough the previous weekend.
For their game against the Hornets, Derby was missing two players: Josh Vickers and Ben Osborn.
The two, who had started the first two Championship games, were replaced by Jacob Widell Zetterstrom and Adams.
The goalie, who moved from Djurgardens IF to Pride Park last week, was making his first start.
Warne updates Derby County on injuries
Paul Warne has now given an explanation for the two’s absence this past weekend and acknowledged that one of them might show up again soon.
Journalist Dominic Dietrich posted the following on X: “Update from Paul Warne regarding Ben Osborn and Josh Vickers’ injuries, in case you missed it. Osborn expects to return for the Bristol City Vickers due to a groin ailment. He has a calf problem.
