With the publication of the fixture schedule, supporters of Ipswich Town may now make plans for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Following consecutive promotions, Town’s first game is at home against Liverpool before traveling to Manchester City.
How has the Town fan base responded?
To make the most of the team’s return to the Premier League, Peter Shelcot stated he intended to attend every away game.
Peter Shelcot, a devoted fan, declared that he will be at every away game to take advantage of the “best [season] for the club and town for over 20 years”.
“There are no easy games at all but I’m confident in the management structure we’ve got at Portman Road and I’m thrilled to bits [manager Kieran] McKenna is staying,” he stated.
“I’m really, really excited about the forthcoming season.”
According to Ollie Prowse (right), he has buddies who play for Liverpool but aren’t sure they’ll beat Ipswich on opening weekend.

“It’s probably the best time to play them, they’ve got a new manager,” he stated.
“Fingers crossed we can get an upset.”
He was less sure, though, regarding the season’s second matchup with Manchester City.
“I don’t want to think about City, it’ll be a tough game,” he stated.
He continued, “Hopefully we’ll get a win on the last game of the season and comfortably stay up.”

On the first day of the Premier League season, Ipswich Town vs. Liverpool at home is off to an amazing start.
In some respects, it’s fitting because Town’s final Premier League game took place away at Liverpool in May of 2002.
Naturally, a lot has transpired since then.
Kieran McKenna’s debut as a Premier League manager will take place this evening. It may be a good idea to play Liverpool since it will be Arne Slot’s first game in charge of the team.
With the departure of Jurgen Klopp, that club has undergone a significant transformation.
And a week later, Manchester City, the winners. Town will be visiting the Etihad for the first time to face Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering squad.

Playing big names like Liverpool and Manchester City early on could be advantageous after the Euros this summer, according to former Ipswich Town player Alex Mathie.
There may be a few players who should be left out or who have ailments, he stated.
“Looking at the fixtures in total, I think we’ll know what we’re fighting for by the end of November because after Liverpool and Man City we’ve got to play teams that are probably around or about us or are normally struggling for the relegation zone.”
