Ipswich Town: Aro Muric expelled from Kosovo squad

Aro Muric, the goalkeeper for Ipswich Town, is one of three Kosovo players who have been sent home for violating team rules.

 

The Kosovo FA released the following statement: “Three players, Arjanet Muric, Edon Zhegrova, and Florent Muslija, have left the national team gathering by joint decision of the manager Franco Foda and the Federation due to breaking the national team regulations established by the manager and the Federation.”

The FFK executive committee will choose whether to take additional action against the concerned players. Faton Maloku from FC Drita, the goalie who was waiting list eligible, will join the squad in the interim.

This summer, Ipswich acquired Muric from Burnley for £8 million. The 25-year-old scored his 39th goal on Friday in Pristina as Romania defeated Kosovo 3-0. Tomorrow he was supposed to fly to Cyrpus for another game.
