During September break, ten players from the first team left Town for international service. This is a summary of how well they got along.

Three Republic of Ireland internationals for the Blues began the team’s two Nations League losses against Greece and England.

In the two games, Chiedozie Ogbene and Sammie Szmodics played 90 and 84 minutes, respectively, bringing their total number of caps to 22 and six.

Dara O’Shea, a defender, played every minute of the match to earn his 28th international cap.

Against England on Saturday, Ogbene was also selected Ireland’s Player of the Match.

The Kosovan FA accused goalkeeper Aro Muric of breaching team regulations by allegedly staying out too late at a nightclub. The former Burnley player later refuted the accusations, saying the “rumors circulating are not true.”

Earlier on Friday, Muric had earned his 39th cap during Kosovo’s 3-0 home loss to Romania.

Axel Tuanzebe, who plays right back in both of the DR Congo’s AFCON qualifying matches against Guinea and Ethiopia, increased his tally of caps to three.

In June, the Blues defender earned his senior international debut for the Congolese, having previously been in England’s youth formations.

Australia’s defender Cameron Burgess was awarded his tenth cap during Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with Indonesia.

That outcome concluded a disappointing window for the Australians, who had earlier lost to Bahrain at home when Burgess was not deployed as a substitute.

Jens Cajuste, a loanee from Napoli, made history by being the first player to ever receive caps for Sweden while playing for the Blues. He now has 25 appearances for his country.

The midfield player started both of Sweden’s matches against Estonia and Azerbaijan from the bench, starting as right back in Baku in the former.

In Iraq’s Asian World Cup qualification match, they defeated Oman and drew with Kuwait, earning Ali Al-Hamadi his 13th and 14th caps for his country.

The striker, whose playing time is being controlled, had his first appearance back in the national team since January, but he did not add to his three goals scored there.

Liam Delap, an acquisition from the summer, now has seven caps for the England U21s after playing against Austria and Northern Ireland.

Delap started Monday’s friendly triumph against Austria at Kenilworth Road but came off the bench against the Northern Irish.

Omari Hutchinson, a teammate, was initially selected in the squad but left the Young Lions camp as a precaution. Town’s record signing has already earned all of Jamaica’s caps.

The Scotland U21s played their Spanish and Maltese counterparts in European qualifications this past week, and Cieran Slicker remained the team’s first choice.

During this window, the goalie captained the team for the first time, bringing his total number of U21 caps to 19.

In other news, last Thursday’s CONCACAF Nations League match between Montserrat and El Salvador saw Blues U21 forward Ash Boatswain make his debut for the country.

The 19-year-old would subsequently make his debut for Lee Bowyer’s team during their loss at St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
