Gers dealt major blow in ‘expected’ transfer pursuit as familiar Dutchman swoops in – report

This summer, Yusuf Kabadayi has been heavily linked to a transfer to Rangers.

After spending a season on loan at FC Schalke, the Bayern Munich prospect appears certain to be leaving the Allianz Arena.

Where does the 20-year-old winger envision himself in the future is the question.

Rangers may be seen as a viable possibility on some sort of inventive deal; after all, they have dealt with Bayern Munich in the past, with everyone winning in the Malik Tillman scenario.

Many even think that Yusuf Kabadayi would sign with the Rangers this summer when Philippe Clement reorganises his Ibrox team.

However, a recent Turkish rumour suggests that Kabadayi is oddly close to relocating, rather than being nearing a move to Ibrox.

Deal accepted “in principle” by Kabadayi

Yusuf Kabadayi, a German youth international, has Turkish ancestry, and these new connections have their origins there.According to Turkish publication Super Haber, a transfer to Istanbul’s Besiktas team has been agreed upon “in principle.”

Although the Turkish reporters aren’t usually well-known for their accuracy, Kabadayi has previously been connected to the team.

There were rumours earlier in June that the Dutchman had beat his previous side to the winger’s signature. Giovanni van Bronckhorst, the current manager of the team, was once the manager of the Rangers.

However, the Scottish media refuted these accusations, thus Rangers were ‘expected’ to seal a deal for Kabadayi in spite of those residual Turkish ties.

While Rangers supporters anxiously await the conclusion of the pursuit, these most recent accusations have added to the mystery surrounding the winger.

Rangers looking to sign experienced players

Yusuf Kabadayi most definitely matches the template of the Nils Koppen Rangers move.

Kabadayi, a young winger with lots of potential to grow, would join a list of gifted young players who will be joining the Gers this summer if Rangers are to finalise a deal for him.

Rangers has signed contracts to bring in Oscar Cortes (20), Jefte (20), Clinton Nsiala (20), Connor Barron (21), and Mohamed Diomande (22) to the team.

Liam Kelly (28) is currently the lone senior addition, with Hamza Igamane (21) apparently on the way.

Although it’s still unclear what exactly is going on with Yusuf Kabadayi, Philippe Clement has stated that his summer wish list is now topped by experience.

Over the summer, Rangers lost a number of seasoned first-team players, and the Belgian acknowledged that “there will also be experience coming into the building.”
