Florida Panthers to Conclude 2025 Development Camp on Thursday

  • Sunrise, FL – July 3, 2025 — The Florida Panthers will officially wrap up their 2025 Development Camp on Thursday, capping off a week of high-intensity training, skill-building, and evaluation at the Baptist Health IcePlex.

The annual camp, which began earlier this week, has featured top prospects, recent draft picks, and a few undrafted invitees all looking to make an impression on the Panthers’ coaching and development staff. Among the standout attendees were 2025 first-round pick Luca Halvorsen, rising defenseman Zachary Urdahl, and goaltender prospect Leo Riikonen.

Throughout the camp, players participated in on-ice drills, off-ice workouts, and team-building sessions aimed at preparing them for the demands of professional hockey. The camp also provided the Panthers’ front office with a first-hand look at the organization’s future talent as they gear up for the 2025–26 NHL season.

Panthers Director of Player Development Bryan McCabe praised the group’s energy and work ethic, noting that the week gave young players a chance to “learn the culture and expectations of being part of the Florida Panthers organization.”

Thursday’s final session will include a scrimmage open to team staff and select media, giving players one last opportunity to showcase their skills before departing for the offseason or returning to their junior and college teams.

The Panthers will now shift their focus toward training camp in September, where a few of this week’s Development Camp standouts could be vying for a surprise roster spot.
