Exclusive: Wolves ‘Aiming to Raid Championship’ After £15m Blow
After losing badly to Chelsea at Molineux last weekend, Wolverhampton Wanderers are considering whether to provide Anel Ahmedhodzic of Sheffield United and Teden Mengi of Luton Town with a fast track back to the Premier League. This is according to GIVEMESPORT sources.
Wolves lost 6-2 to the west Londoners, but head coach Gary O’Neil will have been happy to see Jorgen Strand Larsen score for the first time since completing an initial loan switch from Celta Vigo, which includes a £23 million obligation to buy if certain clauses are triggered.

Wolves sports director Matt Hobbs has been tasked with strengthening the backline as the deadline of Friday at 11 p.m. draws near. Max Kilman was absent due to his completion of a £40 million transfer to top-tier opponent West Ham United in the early part of the summer transfer window.
Despite not being able to sign Burnley’s Dara O’Shea, there is still a will to raid the Championship.
The Republic of Ireland international was wanted by the West Midlands team, but he completed a £15 million transfer to newly promoted Ipswich Town on Sunday. As a result, the recruitment department had to shift their focus in order to find at least one more signing before the transfer window closed.
