Football Insider has been informed by sources that Rico Browne, an academy product of Birmingham City, is in advanced talks to join Walsall.
All parties anticipate that the 20-year-old’s transfer to the League Two team will be finalized this weekend as the deal is moving along nicely.
After being released from the League One team at the end of June, Browne has been without a club and now appears to be close to securing a transfer.
As a free agent, Browne can sign with any club at any moment and is not restricted by the transfer market.
Rico Browne, an academy star from Birmingham, is expected to join Walsall.
Browne played with Rushall Olympic of the National League on loan during the previous season. In 18 games, he was given four yellow cards and one red card.
