Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is in a race against time to add a goal striker to their roster with just three days remaining in the window.

The only teams with less goals scored in 2023–2024 than Nottingham Forest were Everton, Sheffield United, and Burnley. Forest are only scoring one goal per game on average this term, despite the sample size being obviously quite small.

Last season, Wissa made 29 starts and scored 12 goals, stepping up well during Ivan Toney’s protracted suspension. In the competition, Wissa, Toney, and the equally underappreciated Bryan Mbeumo make up one third of one of the most dynamic and intriguing frontlines.

Al-Hilal and the England international have reached a personal agreement.

However, a lot more work needs to be done before a deal is sealed. Al-Hilal’s offer is now at £35 million, while Brentford is seeking £50 million.

If Nottingham Forest decides to give up on Wissa, Nketiah, and Gimenez permanently, it will be interesting to see where they go from there.

Additionally, they’ve expressed interest in Armando Broja, a misfit for Chelsea.

However, with Portman Road manager Kielan McKenna stating that talks are ongoing, it appears that the £30 million-rated Albanian will instead sign for Ipswich Town.
