On August 28, at 11:24, the broadcaster announced live on its blog that Cantwell will be meeting with the English Championship club on Wednesday to discuss a potential transfer.
It is thought that a deal might be reached between the two teams because the attacker sent Philippe Clement a transfer request earlier in the window.

As to the Daily Record, Clement is reportedly in a desperate attempt to remove Cantwell from the books, therefore it would be ideal to complete this as soon as possible to allow for the incomings.
If this is completed soon, Clement will be happy, especially at Ibrox and Auchenhowie, where he has senior players languishing in the B team doing nothing to further his case.
With his summertime behaviour, Cantwell has partly embarrassed himself after making such a strong statement last season despite not playing.
A few new players in the last third should improve the domestic season, which has started well without many additions.
