As they compete with West Ham United to sign the Spain midfielder, Carlos Soler, Everton has reportedly received a transfer fee from PSG, according to Romain Collet-Gaudin.
The European writer continued on X [August 23,] stating that PSG prefers an outright sale over a loan, and both the Toffees and West Ham are eager in getting Soler into the Premier League.
PSG reportedly wants to sell for more than £20.3 million, according to Collet-Gaudin, as the French champions set up a fight between the two English teams.
PSG quoted Everton the amount for Carlos Soler.
The last 48 hours have seen some extremely intriguing developments with Soler. It appears that West Ham has been in the lead and the Spanish international is eager to transfer.
The fight for his signature may be fruitful now that Everton is drawing near; the PSG board, who recently spent more than £50 million for juvenile sensation Joao Neves, can finally let Soler go.
Sean Dyche is keen to replace Amadou Onana, and he may use a portion of the £50 million transfer cost for the Belgian, who has played 63 games for PSG in the past two years and scored four goals in his 14 full caps for his country.
The Toffees reportedly “made contact” with Parisian officials as soon as they learned of the 27-year-old’s availability in an attempt to change Soler’s intended arrival to Merseyside rather than London [Florian Plettenburg, 22 August].
Dyche has long had a preference for center midfielders; last week, rumors circulated that he was considering a move for Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe of Eintracht Frankfurt [Fabrice Hawkins, 19 August].
