Everton make Vitor Roque transfer decision as talks accelerated at summit

According to Sport 45, Everton has not yet made a formal proposal for Barcelona attacker Vitor Roque, but his future is reportedly “heating up.”

The La Liga team’s sporting director, Deco, reportedly attempted to expedite talks with other teams at a recent summit, contacting Sporting CP about a prospective deal, according to a Spanish source that reported on August 17.

It’s believed that the Portuguese side is hopeful about reaching an agreement, and Barcelona anticipates resolving Roque’s future by the end of next week.

Vitor Roque to be signed by Everton but not by them?

It appears that Evertonians have high expectations only to be disappointed, despite all the transfer rumors that have been circulating about Goodison Park regarding the young Brazilian.

Despite his less than ideal move to Spain, the 19-year-old attacker is one of the most exciting talents to come out of the Brazilian divisions in recent seasons.

Everton make Vitor Roque decision as Barcelona speed up talks

Roque has only made 16 appearances in all competitions since moving to the Nou Camp in January, with just two of those coming as starts in La Liga.

It is understandable that there is excitement surrounding the possible signing of the Barcelona superstar given that he has still managed to score twice.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Beto, Jesper Lindstrom, and Iliman Ndiaye available for the upcoming Premier League season, Sean Dyche will be happy with his forward line, but adding another attacker wouldn’t hurt.

Only Sheffield United scored fewer goals than the Toffees did in the previous campaign, thus scoring goals was their main concern. Roque might bring something different to the Toffees’ final third of the play.

But if Sporting CP’s interest in the 19-year-old is to be believed this summer, it appears as though they may miss out on signing him.

In other Everton news, a new transfer update has emerged, and the Toffees have entered the fight to sign Jens Hjerto-Dahl.
