Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe left out of training as Everton ready new transfer

[28 August, page 10] that the 23-year-old has not satisfied manager Dino Toppmoller with his training performance, with the Toffees wanting to sign him this summer

It is understood that Frankfurt would be open to the player’s exit for £16.8million, with Napoli also said to be interested ahead of the August 30 deadline.

Given the Toffees’ openness in the midfield during the opening few games of the new season, and Ebimbe’s ability to play anywhere on the pitch, the possible transfer makes a lot of sense.

The midfield looks to be one of Sean Dyche’s biggest concerns heading into this Premier League campaign, especially with a lack of options at Goodison Park.

With James Garner only just returning from his injury sustained during pre-season, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Tim Iroegbunam were the only options at defensive midfield, which could be a problem further down the line.

Considering Gueye’s recent injury record, partnered with Iroegbunam’s lack of experience after only making one Premier League start for Aston Villa last season, it is no wonder why new midfielders are on the transfer wishlist.

While Ebimbe is the most natural in the middle of the park, he is capable of deputising further forward, on the flanks, or even at full-back, so the Frenchman may be able to help out in multiple positions.

Ebimbe would be a useful addition for the Toffees, so Dyche must push for the new transfer.

The fact that the player has been left out of training at his current club could be seen as a slight concern, but with only two days until the transfer window slams shut, the Evertonians are running out of options.

[28 August, page 10] that the Toffees want to sign the 23-year-old this summer, but manager Dino Toppmoller is not happy with his training output.

It is believed that Frankfurt would let the player to leave for £16.8 million, and Napoli has also reportedly expressed interest in signing him before the August 30 deadline.

The potential transfer makes a lot of sense considering the Toffees’ openness in the midfield in the first few games of the current campaign and Ebimbe’s versatility on the field.

Given the dearth of choices at Goodison Park, Sean Dyche’s top issue going into the Premier League season appears to be the midfield.

James Garner’s injury from the preseason has only recently healed, leaving Idrissa Gana Gueye and Tim Iroegbunam as the only alternatives at defensive midfield, which could cause issues later on.

Given Gueye’s recent history of injuries and Ireegbunam’s inexperienced play following just one Premier League start for Aston Villa in the previous campaign, it is understandable why midfielders are in high demand on the transfer market.

Ebimbe can fill in at full-back, on the wings, or even more forward, so the Frenchman may be able to assist in a variety of roles even if he is most comfortable in the middle of the park.

Dyche needs to advocate for the new transfer since Ebimbe would be a valuable acquisition for the Toffees.

Though the player’s absence from his present club’s training may raise some concerns, the Evertonians are out of choices with two days remaining before the transfer market closes.                                                                                                                                                                            GET MORE NEWS HERE
