Dominic Calvert-Lewin Everton exit collapses after Newcastle United fail to agree personal terms

The Athletic claims that Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s attempt to leave Everton for Newcastle United broke down because the striker could not agree on terms.

The news agency revealed on their website on June 29 that negotiations were on between the Magpies and Toffees regarding a trade deal that would have sent Yankuba Minteh to Goodison Park and Calvert-Lewin to St. James’ Park in two different moves to assist both teams with their PSR problems.

However, Newcastle withdrew from talks to scuttle both agreements [Alan Myers, June 24], and they cited their inability to come to a personal agreement with the 27-year-old striker as their rationale.
