A new Ibrox exit claim states that an English club has inquired about the loan availability of a Rangers player who has the capacity to “unlock defences” with his quality.
Leon King could leave the Rangers.
There are just a few days remaining for the Gers to finalize any significant summer transfer business, either the arrival of players or the temporary or permanent departure of present players from Ibrox.
A significant update on the future of young Leon King has surfaced: Sanford City has reportedly made an inquiry and is willing to sign him on loan for the upcoming season. The League Two team might be able to give the 20-year-old the more consistent playing time he needs. Jurgen Klopp even praised him following a Champions League match against Liverpool, demonstrating his continued outstanding potential.
Apart from the King news, there have been rumours that Rangers will make additions before the month is over. The wide player from Florentine, Joseph Brekalo, is still supposedly being targeted by the Scottish Premiership powerhouse.
In order for the Ger to have enough firepower to compete for the title this season, Philippe Clement may also believe that the team needs another attacker. Furthermore, rumours that the team is interested in signing Norwich City forward Abu Kamara are also circulating.
English club makes a 21-year-old Rangers inquiry.
A recent report from Football Insider states that Alex Lowry, a young player for the Rangers, has been contacted by League Two team Carlisle United. Lowry has been informed that he is free to leave and is not in Clement’s plans.
They regard the 21-year-old as a good addition to their squad for the 2024–25 season, thus they are “keen to take the 21–year-old south of the border” before the window closes later this week.
Similar to King, Lowery would benefit from a summer loan to another team. This would help him to develop away from Ibrox and receive some priceless experience in a different league, as he has been playing with the B team and has not been a part of Clement’s squad.
The 21-year-old had a brief stint at Hearts during the previous campaign, playing in 12 Scottish Premiership games and starting ten of them. Assistant manager Frankie McCoy had this to say about the player as a result of his performances:
He had a lot of options, so it’s impressive that he choose to come here. He thought that we are playing the right way, even though he had the opportunity to go south. He thought he could bring something to the game we were playing. That was visible to you. He filled a couple roles for us. In the pocket and in the 10 position, where he can use his inventiveness to try to penetrate defences.”
Given his age and general lack of experience, Clement is unlikely to deploy Lowery this season. Instead, it would be wiser for him to continue developing away from Ibrox for another season before coming back the following year and perhaps trying to establish himself as a more regular member of the lineup.
