In her father’s footballing hometown, where survival rates for pancreatic cancer are the lowest in Scotland, Frank McGarvey’s daughter is leading the battle against the disease.

In an attempt to improve the area’s poor survival rates, 37-year-old Jenny McGarvey, who lost her father to the illness, has taken to the streets in Glasgow’s east end, close to Parkhead.

The east end is where dad was from, and our family has always had ties to it, the woman stated.
