Ben Godfrey close to Everton move after Dortmund make move – sources

The 26-year-old currently has offers from Italian team Atalanta and French powerhouse Lyon on the table. Both teams have qualified for the upcoming European football season.

 

As the competition to sign the center-back heats up, Borussia Dortmund has also expressed interest in a deal.

With one year left on his current contract, Godfrey is being offered £12.7 million by Pierre Sage’s Lyon to Everton, while Atalanta has put up a proposal of £6.7 million.

Before coming Sunday, when clubs must publish their accounts for Financial Fair Play considerations, Everton is probably going to sell the player.
