Joao Felix will not be playing for Aston Villa because Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have reached a signing agreement, as reported by the Athletic.
The Blues have been in discussions to bring Felix back to Stamford Bridge after he spent the 2022–2023 season on loan at the team.
Felix is now set to return to Chelsea as per an agreement.
Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, has made the attacker a top priority this summer, but the Villans are losing out.
Felix has decided to sign a six-year contract with Chelsea in writing.
Felix’s agreement to join Chelsea should allow Conor Gallagher to finalize his transfer to Atletico Madrid.
The clubs had reached an agreement on a £36 million deal, but it was put on hold when Samu Omorodion’s transfer to Chelsea fell through.
Felix, who spent the previous season on loan at Barcelona, will now face Emery’s Aston Villa in the Premier League.
