Aston Villa in advanced talks to complete ‘Morgan Rogers-type signing’ after Fabrizio Romano news

Following the revelation of Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa is in early talks to finalise a “Morgan Rogers-type signing.”

Dan Bardell, who is getting closer to leaving Everton for Aston Villa, likened the signing of Morgan Rogers in January to that of Lewis Dobbin.

The Villans are reportedly in “advancing talks” to sign the 21-year-old this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano’s report on June 21.

The transfer expert indicates that a £9 million sum is involved, and this has been done in collaboration with the Toffees, who are expected to sign Tim Iroegbunam.

Journalist Bardell from Sky Sports and talkSPORT has likened a Dobbin contract to one from Rogers, which will allay worries about PSR.

“I wasn’t that sure that they’d need Morgan Rogers and that he’d be, thanks to injuries somewhat, a key player straight away,” Bardell stated in an exclusive interview with Villa News.

“No one enters the club unless Emery authorises it and it’s someone he can collaborate with.” He doesn’t currently fit in well with the team.

“He has been highly regarded at Everton and has room to grow.” He might end up being a signing who takes off right away, similar to Morgan Rogers.

“I believe it’s more important for the future and to cover the squad in the event that someone departs for PSR before June 30.”

Lewis Dobbin will be joining Aston Villa.

This summer, the Villans will undoubtedly have PSR issues to address, which they must resolve prior to the approaching deadline.

Villa has responded by pressing Juventus to sell Douglas Luiz, presumably in exchange for Samuel Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie.

This month, Jhon Duran might be heading to Chelsea, and Ian Maatsen might be heading to Villa Park as a deal gets closer.

Given Villa’s depth in offensive areas even before to the transfer season, Dobbin’s deal looks a little pointless.

Prior to suffering an injury, Rogers, who signed from Middlesbrough in a similar deal, showed himself to be a very valuable acquisition.

The Everton player, who is quick, would benefit from a successful loan period abroad to get some relevant experience.

This summer, he might turn out to be a wise addition that is more important for the future than the here and now.
