Arne Engels to Celtic record transfer DONE as key contract and medical details revealed

Celtic will break their club transfer record when they sign Arne Engels, according to reports that they have AGREED a deal with FC Augsburg.

After Matt O’Riley signed with Brighton for a record-breaking sum, the Belgian became Brendan Rodgers’ top aim to replace him. It now appears that Rodgers has finally found his match. According to Sky Sports, Augsburg manager Michael Stroll and CEO Michael Nicholson have finalized a £10.9 million deal that would see the 20-year-old join the Scottish Premiership winners.

It is reported that the Bundesliga team will retain a 20% sell-on share in the agreement.After Engels insisted on moving to Celtic Park, Celtic saw their first two bids for the offensive midfielder rejected. However, they have now settled on a number, with the medical scheduled for Friday ahead of the impending deadline.
