Al Horford’s Sister Responds to Rumors of Her “Weird” Retirement

Al Horford, who is 38 years old, and his sister have discussed the matter, some have questioned how long he will continue to play in the NBA. Horford won a championship with the Celtics during his seventeenth season in the league.

People are asking if he will ride off into the sunset now that he has finally won a chip.

However, it doesn’t seem that way.
Anna Horford, Horford’s sister, has addressed the retirement rumors involving her brother.

“There were always strange rumors about Al retiring,” she stated on X.If he were a minor bench player, it would be one thing. He was essential to the success of the (Celtics) and started most of the playoffs.

On Sunday, the center for the Boston Celtics responded to the rumors himself, poking fun at those who believed he wasn’t returning.

To tell the truth, I have no idea how that got started. “I’m returning,” he declared. That is the strategy. We have previously discussed the offseason.

“I’ll start training again in a couple of weeks and kind of get it going,” he continued.

Horford was also questioned about how long he intended to remain an NBA player.

Not really, though. I want to maintain it because I feel good about myself, but I also know that I need to be careful about how I start the season and how I play it,” he remarked. “But I think we did a great job, our medical staff at the Celtics did a great job taking care of me this season.”

Horford has a $9.5 million contract that is valid for the upcoming campaign with the Celtics.
