Manager Steve Cooper of Leicester City will have learned from his team’s opening two Premier League games that there is still work to be done before the transfer market closes on Friday.
After drawing with Tottenham Hotspur at home on opening day, Leicester City lost 2-1 to Fulham, a result that will have disappointed Steve Cooper.
Leicester finished well short of first in both games, so the real issues with both will have more to do with performance than outcome.
Tottenham put pressure on Leicester’s goal before Jamie Vardy’s goal against the flow of play in the second half salvaged a point in Monday night’s 1-1 draw.
Leicester supporters had hoped for a better collective performance against Fulham, and although the Foxes had moments when they appeared capable of creating issues, the Cottagers deserved to win.
In the next few days of the transfer window, Cooper will surely want to concentrate on new players, but it looks that he has now made the decision to sell a player who only came last summer in an effort to raise money and make room in his team.
